HOME-MADE HUMPTY.

A charming floor seat, which "would appeal to the bachelor girl owner of a tinv flat, can be fashioned from a round, strong cane basket. The basket is turned upside down and a circular cushion is sewn to the top using a sail needle and strong thread. A large square tapestry or similar material should then be placed over the basket and a thick cord "tied round just below the cushion. The material is then taken down to the rim of the basket (which will be on the floor when finished) and turned over the fedge to the inside and attached, sewing through the cane. When completed, it [will look like a very expensive humpty.
