ST. MATTHEWS' BELLS.
Sir,—Was there any need on Anzac Day for the bells in St. Matthew's tower to keep up a constant clanging ? This, •to ray humble opinion, detracted from . the solemnity of the march of the returned men and others, who so impressively took part in the procession up Queen Street, The greatest noise is not always the criterion of the sincerest feeling. Mute.
