MOUNT ROSKILL BOARD.

THE SEWERAGE SCHEME. The Mount Roskill Road Board met last evening, the chairman, Mr. E. F. Jones, presiding. Tbj Wesley College Trust requested that a portion of its property should bo included in the sewerage reticulation wliou the proposals now before the board were carried cut. Mr. J. IX Whitmore, engineer to the board, supported the request provided the trust undertook to construct the two roads through its property as soon as the ratepayers sanctioned the sewerage scheme. The board has approved a subdivision of the area, but the Health Department has objected to building allotments until the land is drained. Hie additional cost, would be about £3OOO, making £55,000 in all The engineer's recommendation was adopted. The board donated £1 Is each to the Workers' Educational Association and the Seddon Memorial Technical College.

The Rev. P. R. Smallfield asked the board to form a pathway in front of the cliurcli site in Mount Albert Road, next to the fire station. The matter was left to tho engineer.

The building inspector reported that seven permits had been issued during the past fortnight, and that eighteen buildings were in course of erection.
