WEDDINGS.

'The bride, who was given a,way by her father, wore a gown' of ivory brocaded crepe de chine and georgette with lace to tone. Her embroidered veil, which fell in deep folds, formed, a train and was caught at the head with the usual Orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was of white Sowers. Miss Jessie Campbell and Miss Jean Wallace were bridesmaids. The former wore a frock of cyclamen crepe de chine with an oyerdress of silver lace with crinoline hat to match, and the latter a frock of almond green georgette with mauve trimming and crinoline hat, to match. Both carried bouquets of mauve and pink dahlias. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Leslie Wootten as best'man and Mr. Armstrong Whitehead as groomsman.

The marriage was celebrated in St. Patrick's Cathedral yesterday afternoon of Miss Nance Clarke, ' elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Clarke, of Shelly Beach Road, Heme Bay* to, Mr. John Anthony Price, only son of Mr. and the late Mrs. S. J. Price, of Waverley. Father Dogherty performed thfe ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father*, wore a frock of ivory georgette with a scalloped hem. and a front panel of silver lace. The veil of beautiful Honiton lace was caught to the head with a coronet of orange* blossom and- she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Sheila Price and Miss Moira Clarke were bridesmaids, dnd wore champagne" georgette frocks with flounced skirts and side panels of ribbon in a deeper shade. Champagne felt hats were worn ana bouquets of autumn tinted flowers were carried. Mr. W. G. Gamble, of Wellington, was best man and Mr. C. E. Clarke groomsman.

The marriage of Miss Doris Holines, daughter of Captain W. R, Holmes, of Buctdands, late of the H.M.C.B. Iris, to Mr. .Lionel Prescott-White, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Prescott-White, of Cardiff, Wales, was celebrated in St. Mark's Church, Remuera, yesterday afternoon. The Rev. G. C. Cruickshank officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of tier father, wore an ivory crepe de chine frock with an accordion-pleated apron effect, . which opened in front to reveal a panel of silk lace. A narrow white band formed the waist line, finished in front with & diamante buckle. Her beautiful Honiton lace veil was held in place with a wreath of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white carnations, roses and asters. Two bridesmaids followed the bride. The first, Miss Embro" Walker, wore a frock of ficelle-tinted georgette over ciel blue. The frock was made with long panels of cream lace from shoulder to nem and side frills of pale blue georgette. A small beige hat trimmed with blue ribbon was worn and a bouquet to tone was carried. Miss Edna Kyd wore a shell pink georgette frock , with frilled knife-pleatecl side panels and & pink georgette and velvet hat to tone. SlTe carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and asters. Mr. Gordon Russell attended the bridegroom as best man.

St. Patrick's Cathedral was the scene of the wedding yesterday afternoon of Miss Kathleen Williams, second daughter of Mrs. Williams and the late Mr. Williams, of Devonport, late of Taihape, to Mr. Arthur Gruzelier, eldest son of Mrs. Gruzelier and the late Mr. Gruzlier, of Devonport. Father Furlong, of Devonport, performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Marshall Brown; wore a frock of parchment-shaded georgette, with a long skirt of frilled net, each frill being edged with cream satin and opening in front to reveal a wide panel of finely-knife-pleated georgette, The veil of Brussels net was worn with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of cream roses. Miss Norah Williams, who was chief bridesmaid, wore a frock of lemon taffefcii, with hand-worked embroidery round th« neck and sleeves. The bouffant skirt wa» also edged with embroidery and opened ia front to show a panel of white net. Miss Kathleen Oliver, the second bridesmaid, wore a cornflower blue taffeta frock modelled on similar lines. Gold and silver bandeaux' finished in front with diamante buckles were worn and bouquets to tone were carried. Mr. Howard Gruzelier was best man and Mr. Jack Howe was groomsman.

The wedding was celebrated daring Easter week, in the Mount Eden Presbyterian Church, of Miss Olive Margaret Johnston, youngest daughter of Mrs. Johnston, and the late "Mr. R. Johnston, of Gisborne, to Mr. Burnard Charteris Carpenter, youngest son of Mrs. Carpenter and the late Mr. J. M. Carpenter, of Remuera. The Rev. Leonard Hunt officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. R. F. Johnston, wore a frock of ivory sprigged taffeta. The frock was made with tight-fitting bodice and Bleeves and a petalled skirt. The tulle veil was worn in Dutch cap fashion, caught with sprays of orange blossom and a bouquet of gold chrysanthemums and daisies was carried. Miss Elsa MacDonald (Masterton) was bridesmaid, and wore a shrimp pink georgette frock with an uneven hemline of lace and a draping of lace falling from the shoulder over the back and front of the bodice. Her hat of stitched taffeta was trimmed with pink velvet ribbon and she carried a bouquet of autumn tinted chrysanthemums. Mr. Russell Cantle was best man.

The marriage of Mr. Frederick Gould Davies, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. J, Davies, of Wellsford, and Miss Irene Doris Deed, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Deed, of Otaua, Waiuku, was solemnised in the Anglican Church, Pukekoho, on March 27, the Rev. J. C. Fussell officiating. Mrs. Vaughan played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory, crepe de chine panelled wjth lace. Her embroidered Brussels net veil, which was arranged in mob cap fashion with a wreath of orange blossoms, formed a train and she carried a shower bouquet of white flowers with touches of pink. Miss Thelma Deed and Miss Myra Deed attended their sister as bridesmaids. The former wore a frock of mauve georfette, with petalled skirt over satin, and ead-dress of mauve tulle and silver (eaves and she carried a posy of mauve and pink asters. The latter wore turquoise blue georgette and head-dress of tulle and silver leaves. Her bouquet was of pink cactus dahlias, bind delphiniums and maidenhair fern. Little Shirley Otto, cousin of the bride, was train-bearer, and wore a frock of shot silver and mauve satin. Her head-dress was also of tulle and silver. Mr. Albert Davies, brother of the bridefroom was best man and Mr. Bertram >eed, brother of the bride, goomsman.

The wedding took place at St. Matthew's Church on Easter Monday of Lydia Ruth, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Tregidga, of Penzance, Te Papapa, to Godwyn Hector Goodwill, only son of Mrs. Goodwill, Dominion Road. Canon Grant Cowen officiated and Mr. Philpot played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church, on the arm of hei father, wore a frock of ivory crepe d* chine with a double-tiered skirt of nnelypleated ivory georgette. A coronet of pearls and orango blossoms was also worn from which fell a tulle veil over the tram, which was trimmed with silver lace and orange blossoms. Her shower bouquet was of white dahlias and real orange blossoms with maidenhair fern. Miss Eunice Treiri lea, sister of the briae, and Miss Beryl McLaren attended as bridesmaids, their frocks being ot blue <rep# do chirto. with tight-fitting bodices and large collart The bndegroom was , attended by It 'r.
