OBITUARY.
LADY SOWDEN. (Received April 10, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 10. The death has occurred of Lady Sowden, the wife of Sir William Sowden, one of the proprietors of the newspaper Adelaide Register. Sir William Sowden joined tho staff Of the Register in 1881, and was its •difcor from 1899 to 1923. He is connected with many public institutions and societies in South Australia, and for his par-time services was knighted in 1918.
