CAR FOUND ABANDONED.
CHARGE AGAINST MAORI. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAUEANG-A, Tuesday. A car belonging to a local resident was reported to have been taken from the business area of Tauranga on Saturday evening. On Sunday the police arrested a Maori, S. Ngawhare and the car was found the same day abandoned at the gate of the pa. Ngawhare was charged at the Magistrate's Court yesterday with taking the car, and was remanded for eight days.
