The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, visited the Middlemore golf links yesterday afternoon, presenting the prizes won in the Auckland Golf Club's tournament.

This evening, His Excellency, with Lady Alice Fergusson, will attend tho reopening ceremouy of ths Mission to Seamen in Emily Place. Officers of the French warship Cassiopee will be entertained at. ai ball at Government House to-morrow evening.
