HOLIDAY FATALITIES.
NUMBERS IN BRITAIN. SHOCKING MOTOR COLLISION. FOUR VICTIMS SUCCUMB. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received April 9, 11.45 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. April 9. The main roads in Britain were crowded with holiday motor traffic to-day and there were numerous fatalities. These included a shocking accident at Bowling, Dumbartonshire, Scotland. * A threewheeled motor-car was smashed in a collision with a motor-bus and a man, a woman and two eight-months-old babies were killed. The driver of the three-wheeled car attempted to cross in front of the bus. He was pinned to his seat and killed instantaneously. Five other people were pitched on to the road. The woman and babies who were clasped in her arms were killed. AUSTRALIAN LIST. TEN DEATHS RECORDED. MANY PEOPLE INJURED. (Received April 10, 12.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 9. Numerous motoring accidents occurred in the East.er holidays resulting in two deaths in the country. Many other people were injured. In Victoria eight people were killed and 28 were injured, chiefly in motor collisions and capsizes.
