TE ATATU INSTITUTE.
The monthly meeting of the Te Atatu Women's Institute was held on Thursday, Mrs, Pa£on (president) taking the chair. The delegate's report of the bi-annual meeting iof the Auckland Province Federated Women's Institutes, was received, and it was decided that the institute should assist in any way possible the work of the hospital auxiliary. A short talk on "Poisons" was given by Mrs. La Trobe, which was followed by a roll call on "What I would like on the monthly programmes." This meeting being the institute's birthday, at afternoon tea Mrs, Paton, after wishing the institute all success, presented the members with a large iced cake, decorated with a sihgle candle. After tea there was a competition of lighting 17 candles with one match. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
