WEEK IN THE BUSH.

WOMAN FOUND FAMISHED. NEW SOUTHf WALES INCIDENT. SYDNEY. April 7. A resident of Mascot, near Sydney, Mrs. William Owens, lost her way while she was wandering in the bush on Pennant Hills. She was discovered yesterday in a famished condition, but otherwise not seriously affected. Mrs. Owens had gone without food for seven and a-half days. A party of searchers had previously scoured the neighbourhood fruitlessly. Once the woman at midnight saw a cottage, but as she approached it a savage dog ran at her. She beat the dog off with a stick, and then retreated to the bush.
