There was a patchy south-west breeze. A large number of boats from Auckland, Tauranga and Thames competed. Results were: — First-class Yacht Race.—Queenie, 1; Janet, 2; Wairiki. 3. Second-Class Sailing' Boilts.—Leorie. 1; Speedwell, 2; Blue Comet, 3, The local • boats were outclassed by the visitors. Schoolboys' Yacht Dinghy Race.--R. Chadban. 1: R. Bennett. 2; G. Brunton. 3. Allcomers' Handicap Launch Race.— Waiata, 1; Valencia, 2; Venus, 3; j Men's Pair-oar Race.—B. Wood head and H. Harsarit, 1; I.
