PROFESSIONAL BOXING.
THE MIDDLE-WEIGHT TITLE. CASEY DEFEATS BROADFOOT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] GREYMOUTH, Sunday. The professional boxing contest of 15 rounds, for the New Zealand middle-weight championship, between Jim Broadfoot and Harry Ca3ey last evening, was won by Casey on points, after a very good bout. Broadfoot boxed well although he was once down for nine seconds, but Casey was superior both in attack and defence. It was Casey's finest exposition here.
In a welter match J. Moynahan (Runanga) drew with Jock Nelson (Greymouth). D. Richardson (Waiuta) defeated M. Kiely (Greymouth) in tho feather-weight bout, and W. Duggan (Runanga) won from J. Andrews (Greymouth) in the light-weight match.
