WIRELESS EDUCATION.

Sir, —I have long wondered at the rapidly widening vista of broadcasting possibilities, and in very truth the newest miracle is becoming difficult to keep pace with. Just now I ain full of admiration for the manner in which the grievous loss of that brave young fireman, Rholda George Beuth, was impressed on- our young folk, several thousands of whom heard the beautiful and affecting tribute paid by "Uncle Tom" from IYA on Wednesday. There was a touch of genius in his invitation to the children to stand up and pay silent respect to the departed, and this eighth decadent was proud to sit up and join iu. Sir, we grown-up chickabiddies are apt not to agree on a large variety of subjects—municipal and general politics, doctrines divers and dire, diversions, suppressions, publications and so forth—but I fancy we would find ourselves quite in accord with the broadcasting of the essential cardinal virtues and courtesies, when pleasantly blended with elementary music, vocal and instrumental, speech and story, in such fashion as usually obtains here between 6 and 7 p.m. The "children's hour" is a tremendous educational asset (arid cheap withal) and the staff just "express and admirable," but see to it, ye law-givers and takers, that the juvenile airway remains strictly unsectarian. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof" does not comprehend an airless, ethcrless globe and we should strive hard to keep our priceless aerial wealth immune from belitling- dogma. Harry Hemus.
