ALLEGED LIBEL CASE.
SAMOAN PAPER SUED. THE ARREST OF TAMASESE. A. arid N.Z. APIA, March 29. The Samoa Guardian is being sued for alleged libel, a claim of £IOOO being made by Alfred McCarthy. The plaintiff is tho acting police commissioner. The action is based on a report in the Guardian attributing to the commissioner a statement that the arrest of Tamasese, ordered by the commissioner, had been a mistake, for which an apology was made.
