JEWS AND CHRISTIANS.
UNIQUE EVENT IN TORONTO, An event unique 111 Canadian Church annals took place in Toronto recently, when pulpits were exchanged between Rabbi lsserman, of Holy Blossom Synagogue, and the Rev. K. C. Hunter, of tho United Church, which is a sort ot amalgamation of the Free Churches ot Canada. At tho synagogue, Mr. Hunter donned the cap and gown of tho Rabbi, and preached a sermon, while the Rabbi at the Rrotestant church discarded cap and gown and made ft fervent plea for a better understanding and co-operation between the various religious denominations. He urged tho establishment in every Christian Sunday School of 11 course of study of Jewish religion under a Jewish tutor, with a similar course in Christian religion at the synagogues.
