AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.

ELLERSLIE AUTUMN MEETING ACCEPTANCES POSTED. The Auckland Racing Club's Autumn-Meet-ing takes place on Saturday and Monday. April 7 and 9, and the acceptances received for the various events to be run on the opening day are of so very satisfactory a character as to point to the approaching gathering proving well up to the most notewoithy of its predecessors held at Ellerslie at this season of the year. The event in the acceptance on which most interest was centred yesterday was, of course, the Easter Handicap, and with 21 horses paid up for in connection with the leading mile race, the situation is invested with much interest, for the issue is well concealed. Mr. A. B. Williams paid up for both Star Strange!. - and Joy King, and Mr. T. H. Lowry lias also a double string to his bow with Great Charter and Doree. It was thought that Mr. G. Currie would leave both Mask and Lysandcr in the race, but the Wanganui sportsman decided to rely solely on the latter. Mr. G. Paul allowed Aussie to drop out, and he will depend upon Awarere. The following is a list of the acceptances for the various events: —
