A petition originated by five women of Alberta claiming tho right of members of their sex to sit in the Senate was heard before the Supreme Court. After hearing argument' by counsel the Court to-day reserved its decision. The Solicitor-General, Mr. L. Cannon, said the question io bo decided was whether a woman was "a person" within the meaning of the British North America Act.
