MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. A SATISFACTORY YEAR. The annual report of the Maungakiekie Golf Cluo, whien is to be presented at the general meeting to be held ou Friday, Marcn 23, in the Chamber of Commerce, shows that the membership now stands at 748, ail increase of 40 over last year's roll. Reconstruction work on _ the Titirangi links has been proceeded with during the recent fine weather and it is expected that the greater portion of the formation of new greens will be completed by the end of this month". Mr. 11. W. Cooke has supervised the laying out of the alterations under the scheme proposed by Dr. MacKeuzie, in which he has been assisted by Mr. T. H. Chapman and Mr. P. Harrison. A great deal of new work has been carried out during the year at One Tree Hill and the course has never been in better condition than at the present time. Some of the greens require attention, but will be attended, to in the near future. Special mention is made in the report of the new eighth and eighteenth greens, which were constructed under the supervision of Mr. P. Harrison. With favourable weather these greens should be available for play in June. The balance-sheet shows that the sum of £409 stands to the credit of the club. The main item of expenditure is wages, £1497, which show an increase of *ll9 over the previous year's figure. Other large items on the debit side of tho balance-sheet are unkeep of links. £654. and rent. £490. both of which show considerable increases over the previous year. The main source of income for the past year has been subscriptions. which total £3433, as against £3280 irj the previous period. Green fees are shown at £4ll and entrance fees at, £575, ns against £339 and £526 respectively. The report concludes with a statement of the rearrangement of the club's finances on very satisfactory terms.
