f CEICKET. AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION, SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. [ PONSONBY TO MEET EDEN. The last series of games in tho Auckland Cricket Association's senior competition will be played to-morrow! Practically all interest will centre round the meeting of PonBonby and Eden at Eden Park, as this will be a play-oil lor championship honours. Ponsonby has a lead of two points over Eden, end so it will be necessary lor ths latter to secure a four-point win to secure ttie championship. In the event of Eden gaining a. win on the first innings, the teams will be level, and with no time available for a playoff they would be bracketed as winners. Eden has a, strong side, both in batting and bowling, and is a firm favourite for tne forthcoming match. Ponsonby will be coneiderably weakened by the loss of J. Langridge, the English professional. The other matches atr Eden Park will be between Y.M.C.A. and University and Grafton and United Suburbs, while Parnell and Nortn fcihore will meet at North Shore. OLD BOYS' MATCH. The annual cricket match between King's College and Christ':a College Old Boys will be played at King' 3 College. Otahuhu. on Wednesday,. commencing at 11 o'clock. TE AWA V. KING'S COLLEGE. The match between the To Awa cricket te»jn and King's College resulted in a draw. Te Awa scoring 136 and King's College 85 for six wickets. Included in the Te Awa eleven were two of Hawke's Bay's promising young representative players, D. Pirie and E. Elliott, who chanced to be on a visit to Auckland. Elliott scored 40. his left-hand tatting producing many hard off-drives and good leg shots. George Mills, with 10 runs, and five overs for 14 runs and one wicket, ' showed he had not forgotten how to play. The double figure scorers for Te Awa were: Elliott 40, Peoppel 18, Arblaster 17 not out. Arcber 16. Clarkson four for 20 and Lewis three for 23. bowled best for King's College, whose highest scorers were: Thompson 23, Chennells 14 not out. Lewis 13 retired. Arblaster. three for 19, was the most successful oovrler for Te Awa.. TE ATA V. MOUNT ALBERT. k The < Mount Albert Grammar School eleven met a""fairly strong aide at Eden -Park yesterday afternoon - and suffered its first defeat in a"sefi€s of mid-week matches in three seasons. W. H. Bennett (52, retired) and A. W. Coy (32 runout) .made a good start for Te Ata, while F. Archer (23) and Fj Peoppel (10> also scored double figures in a total of 151. The school team fielded well, itn wicketkeerer. D. Hetherington, allowing no extras. J. N. Fraser, four wickets for 56 runs, and G. Vivian four for 49, bowled well. Te Ata's bowling and fielding were good, and restricted the school's total to 83. Vivian played well for 36. Fraser (13) whs the only other double-figure soorer. N.
