Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Maxwell, of Napier, are at the Commercial Hotel. Mr. R. P. Duthie, of Dunediu, and Mr. T. Neale, of Nelson, are at the Star Hotel. Mr. T. W. Martin, of Wellington, and Mr. Donald Grant, of Ohinemuri, are at the Commercial Hotel. Mr. J. W. Winfield and Mr. I. Winfield, of Inglewood, and Mr. B. Winfield, of Hawera, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. H. H. Saunderson, publicity manager for John Court, Limited, will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui to-day. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Jones, of Christchurch, and* Mr. -and Mrs. J. H. Meekings, of Raglan, are at the Star Hotel. Mr. G- V. Andrews, of Melbourne, Mr. G. Donaldson, of Wellington, and Mr. E. Dick, of Otewa, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. F. G. Dalziell, of Wellington, Mr. A. E. Kirkwood, of Raglan, and Mr. H. H. Sterling, of Hamilton, are at the Grand HoteL Sir Tom Bridges, ex-Governor of South Australia, who has been oif a holiday visit to New Zealand, will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui to-day. The Rev. C. Beharell, of the London Missionary Society, returned to his work at Niue Island after spending a short furlough in Australia and New Zealand. ' Mr. H. P. Caughey and Mr. F. A. Hellaby, who will shortly leave for England, were granted leave of absence by the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday. Mr. Malcolm Stewart was deputed to act as vice-president during the absence of Mr. Caughey.
