C. Beharell, of the London Missionary Society, returned to his work at Niue Island after spending a short furlough in Australia and New Zealand. ' Mr. H. P. Caughey and Mr. F. A. Hellaby, who will shortly leave for England, were granted leave of absence by the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday. Mr. Malcolm Stewart was deputed to act as vice-president during the absence of Mr. Caughey.
