CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMME.
COMPARISON WITH BRITAIN. (Received March 14, 10.28 p.m.) A. and N.Z. ROME. March 14. T>.e Under 'Secretary to the Marine Department, Admiral Sirianni, speaking in the Chamber of Deputies, said that on the completion of the present naval building programme at the end of 1931 Italy will have 45 modern submarines, as well as a number of the older types. He pointed out' that this compared favourably with the 55 submarines of all kinds in the British Navy. ,
