DOMINION PREFERENCES.
LARGE BENEFITS OBTAINED. A. and N Z. LONDON. March 13. The Parliamentary Secretary to tho Board of Trade, Mr. H. T. Williams, said in the House of Commons, that the benefits of the preferential duties granted by the Dominions could not be fully stated in terms of cash. Tho figures for 1925, the latest available, showed that Australia's imports from Britain of articles subject to preference were valued at £63,850,000, and the aggregate preference rebate on them was £7,800,000. The corresponding figures for the other Dominions were: New Zealand, £20,000,000 and £2.860,000; Canada, £23,150,000 and £2.470,000; South Africa, £3,850,000 and £375,000.
