The rights were secured from the author by the bociety s Agents in London only after repeated applications. With the exception of London. Auckland will have the honour of being the first city in the Empire to present this play. MEMBERS' PRIORITY BOOKING. Members are reminded that preferential booking opens at Lewis R. Eady & Sons, Ltd., on March 19th, and members and intending members desiring to get their vouchers in time to enable them to secure their seats on the day the plan opens, should make immediate application to the Secretary. Last year membership quadrupled. 1928 will see the boc.ety with its greatly increased membership presenting bigger and more expensive plays, which might otherwise never be seen in New Zealand. Already one of the most—if not the mostsuccessful societies of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, the Society has planned for the greater productions, which increased membership makes possible.
