JOHN BUNYAN'S WORK.

Dr. James W. Raine, Professor of English Language and Literature at Berea College, Kentucky, has been visiting England in connection with a new popular life of John Bunyan which he is writing. " My purpose in' writing," he said, " is to show that we still have the best elements of Puritanism in our modern life. My aim is to stress not his peculiar ideas, but his elemental ones.
