Simmons, of Pine Street, Mount Eden, who have been on |a four months' tour of Australia, have Returned to Auckland. The -Misses'S. and E. Mahouey, Remn<era, with the Misses J. and 8. Mnlvaney, have left by motor for the Waitomo JCaves and an extended tour of the Waifeato. At their home, Wyaba, Epscm Avenue, Epsom, Jdr. and Mrs. Preston Chambers about thirty guests yesterday afternoon. Members of the lames' committee and others interested in the Missions to Seamen were present. Opportunity was taken to introduce the Rev. H. K. Vickery and Mrs* Vickery, who recently arrived from Australia to take charge of the Missions to Seamen at this port. The chaplain spoke of the organisation and work of the Ladies' Harbour Lights Guiid, where the ladies' comjpittee will consider forming at an early jdate* . v ; ..
