A CURE FOR NEURALGIA.

In cold weather many people suffer from acute attacks of neuralgia, though (Tiis may be a trouble to which they are not subject at other times. For such an almost certain cure is the prompt application of witch hazel in liquid form. This should bo made hot, a piece of cotton wool soaked in it, wrung out, and applied to the place, being held there as long as the heat is retained, after which the application, if need be, should be repeated. Essence of witch hazel is unfortunately expensive. It is, however, unfailing in giving relief to any pain due to cold or shock of the more superficial nerves.
