WEDDINGS.
A wedding of considerable interest was conducted by the Eev. J. Paterson, of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Wanganui, recently, when Elsie Catherine, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Morrison, of Wanganui (late ot .lakorangi), was married to Alan George Coxhead, of Te Awamutu. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe marquis, with suk lace apd pearl trimmings. She wore an embroidered silk tulle veil with orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white lilies, pale pink carnations and maidenhair fern. Miss Mary Darbyshire, cousin of the bride, attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of peach pink taffeta, with gold lace. A gold tissue bandeau formed the head-dress, and she carried a bouquet to tone. Edna Ferguson, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl. Mr. Edgar Raine, of Te Awamutu, was best man.
A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Barnabas* Church last Wednesday evening when Miss L. A. Swan, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Swan, of Mount Eden, was married to Mr. E. J. McQuoid, of Titirangi. The Rev. Bamford officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. R. Swan, wore a frock of cream georgette and Limerick lace. The bodice was slit from the waist upwards to show the lace peeping through, and was finished on one shoulder by a soft bow and a sparkling ornament. Panels of lace and very finely-pleated georgette formed the skirt with silver ribbon swathed around the waistline. The long tulle veil was caught close to the head by a wreath of orange blossom and silver ribbon with drops of orange blossom over each ear. She carried a shower bouquet of white and pale pink blooms. Miss Olive Freeman, who acted as bridesmaid, was dressed in pale green georgette and shot silver taffeta with diamante trimming. Her head-dress was cf tulle and ribbon to match and a bouquet to tone was carried. The other bridesmaid, Miss Thelma Swan, wore pink s beaute with ruffled trimming and blue forget-me-nots nestling in the ruffles. Her head-dress was of ribbon and tulle, and she carried a bouquet to tone. Little Betty King and Leslie Martin, nieces of the bride, acted as flower-girls, wearing pretty frocks of forget-me-not blue crepe de chine. They each carried a basket of pink and blue "flowers. Mr. T. Bain carried out the duties of best man and Mr. F. McQuoid was groomsman.
