CANADA AND JAPAN.
APPOINTMENT OF MINISTERS.
STATEMENT IN THE COMMONS. (British Official Wireless.) A and N.Z. RUGBY. March 5. The Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. L. S. Amcry, stated in the House of Commons that an agreement had been reached between the Governments of Canada and of Japan, under which it was proposed, subject to the approval of the Canadian Parliament and the Japanese Diet respectively, that each of these countries should be represented in the other by a Minister Plenipotentiary. His Majesty's Government in Britain were informed in advance of the desire of the Canadian Government for such an arrangement, which was in accordance with the resolution of the Dominions Conference in 1926.
