TOURNEY AT TE AWAMUTU. PLAY IN WET WEATHER.' [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. The bowling tournament at Te Awamutu was continued to-day in wet weather. Rain fell almost continuously. In til® afternoon a tricky wind made accurate bowling difficult. Following are the results:—

CHAMPION PAIRS TOURNEY. FURTHER POSTPONEMENT MADE. The champion pairs tourney of the Auckland Bowling Centre, which was to have been commenced yesterday, was again postponed on. account of the wet weather. As those taking part have other engagements to fulfil the tournament has been postponed until March 26.

AUSTRALIAN TEAM. VISIT TO HAMILTON. [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Tuesday. The touring South Australian bowlers visited- Hamilton to-day, but owing to unpropitious weather the games that had been arranged with six teams representing the South Auckland bowling centre had to be abandoned. The visitors were welcomed by Mr. F, James, president of the centre, and were entertained at a smoke concert this evening. They leave to-night for To Kuiti and New Plymouth.

TARANAKI TOURING TEAM. A party of 50 bowlers from Taranaki will arrive in Auckland on Monday next, and will stay until the following Saturday. .During that time they will play friendly games with the various clubs and -also test matches against Auckland. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. J TE. AWAMUTU, Tuesday. • There is a. prospect of the touring Taranaki bowling team of 12 rinks being divided on March 20 to play all-day matches at Te Awamutu and Cambridge simultaneously. The six rinks competing at Te Awamutu will motor at mid-day to Cambridge, and the rinks playing at Cambridge during the morning will come td Te Awamutu for the afternoon.
