TRANSPORT OF RACEHORSES MOTOR-LORRY SERVICE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI, Tuesday. The journey from Gisbome to Opotiki with racehorses used to be considered very Bevere and was so very much dreaded that very few horse-owners would venture. Now the feeling of isolation has departed with the advent of the motor-lorry, which has solved the problem of how to get here without running the risk of breaking horses down with 50 miles' walk in one day. From Motu C. Morse, of Gisbome, landed King Willonyx, Garzon, Cherry Girl and Inner Harbour this afternoon with a sixwheeled lorry carrying four boxes. The horses were landed in oplendid condition.
