KEEN JUMPING EVENTS.
LIST OF PRINCIPAL AWARDS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI Tuesday. The annual show of the Opotiki Agricultural and Tastoral Association was held to-day. For three months scarcely any rain has fallen, yet yesterday it fell all day arid this morning it continued. The bad weather affected the number of exhibits, as well as the attendance, the latter being only about one-half of what it was last year. However, in spite of all drawbacks, a most successful show resulted. There was good competition in most classes. The ring events produced some splendid jumping. Tho judges were:—King competitions: Bloodstock and roadsters, Mr. W. G. Sherrat, Gisborne; draught stock, Mr. L. Sisam, Taneatua; pedigree Molsteins, Mr. E. Parkinson; pedigree Jerseys, Mr. A. B. Missen, Hamiltou; Shorthorns, Mr. E. Law, Whttkatane; fat stock, Mr. W. Thompson, YVhakutane; sheep, Mr. W. G. Saxby; pigs, Mr. H. F. Jackson, Motu; dogs, Mr. G. Hawkins. Following were the results:—
