THE FORTHCOMING REGATTA. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] NGARUAWAHIA. Tuesday. The forthcoming regatta, especially the Maori programme, this year, promises to be specially interesting, as it will contain some new features. The presence of the Governor-General, Sir' Charles Fergusson, as the guest of the association,, will bo an important event in the history of the regatta. At a meeting of the Raglan Licensing Committee, held on Friday, a transfer was granted of the licence of the Tuaknu Hotel, from Mr. W. J. Taylor to Mr. J. Fleming. Miss O. M. Burnett, who has been for many years in chargo of the town library, has been compelled by the state -of her health to resign. Mr. W. A. Clavis has been appointed. to the position.
