The New Zealand Amateur Athlotic Council recommended the following order in merit as representatives at the Olympic Games:— S. Lay (Hawera), javelin; Miss N. Wilson (Gisborne), sprint; R. A. Rose (Wellington), distance runner'; F. S. Ramson (Wellington), hurdles; F. Grose (Canterbury), cycling; M. Leadbetter (Canterbury)!' sprints; R. W. Lander (Wellington), hurdles.
