Forbes, M.P., delivered an address here last evening in the interests of the United Political Party, and received a good hearing. Associated with Mr. Forbes were Mr. E. A. Ransom, M.P. for Pahiatua, and Mr, A. E. Davey, organiser. At the conclusion of the meeting a vote of confidence in the Uniteu Party was passed. At an unofficial gathering after the meeting organisation business was discussed, and it was arranged to hold meetings at Te Kuiti, Otorobanga and Te Awnmutu for the purpose of selecting a candidate to represent the United i arty in the Waitorao electorate at the next general election.
