TEST CRICKET MATCH.
SOUTH AFRICA V. ENGLAND.
HOME SIDE IN THE LEAD*
A. and N.Z.-Sun. CAPETOWN, Feb. 7. The fifth and final cricket test match, South Africa v. England, was continued to-day at Dnrban. Taylor and Coen, South Africa's opening pair, were confident. Taylor was polished and Coen impressive. The bowling and fielding were excellent and compelled the Sonth Africans to abandon their forcing policy. Staples bowled on the leg theory and also kept down the runs. Catterall and Cameron indulged in stonewalling tactics, intent on wearing down the bowling. Later they scored freely and vigorously all round the wicket. Their partnership produced 135 ruus in 93 minutes. Catterall hit two sixes and 14 fours. Th© batsmen tired the bowling and when a lead of 50 had been secured Deans declared. Holmes went out to the last ball in the first over in England's second innings. Details of the scores are:— SOUTH AFRICA.—First Innings.
