WEDDINGS.
St. Peter's Presbyterian Church, Tauranga, was the scene oi a pretty wedding on January 17, when Gladys Violet, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Jensen, Omanawa, Tauranga, was married to Athol John, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Campbell, of EUerslie, Auckland. The Rev. J. W. Smyth performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, woro a frock of pale pink aecordian-pleated georgette with silver bodice. Her tulle veil was arranged under a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers with tulle .bows and streamers. She was attcuded by her sister, Miss Ella Jensen, who wore a frock of lavender crepe de chine and fawn georgette hat, and carried a DOuquet to match her frock. Miss Noelino Taylor acted as flower-girl, dressed in apricot crepe do chine with a. wreath of tiny rosebuds around her head, and she carried a basket of flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. A. J. Pattison, of Auckland.
A pretty evening wedding was celebrated on January 25 in tire Ngahinapouri Hall, when Margaret Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Ryburn, of Ngahinapouri, was married to Frederick Cyril, only son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Williams, of Ngahinapouri, The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in a frock of ivory satin charmeuse over silver lame, effectively embroidered in silver and diamante. Her veil of old Limerick lace, caught under, a wreath of orange blossoms, was a family heirloom, which had been worn by her mother and grandmother and other members of the family. A shower bouquet was carried. There were five maids of honour, the>. chief bridesmaid being Miss Louie Ryburn, sister of the bride, who wore a pretty frock of Pervaffche blue georgette trimmed with diamante, and head-dress of silver leases and tulle. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Miss Sophie Ryburn and Miss Alice McGregor (niece of the bridegroom) wore respectively apple green and pal© rose pink crepe do chine Locks trimmed with nequins, their head-dress being silver leaves and tulle, and thyy carried muffs composed of flowers and, tulto streamers. Two tiriy tots, Audrey Wilkins and Gloria Hayes, were flower-gills in dainty shell pink georgette frocks trimmed with circlets of Valenciennes lace, and they carried pink and mauve Victorian posies. Master Keith Ryburn acted as page boy. Mr. "VV. Tompkins carried out tho duties of bost man.
