Writiing in the Referee " Miles" remarked:—"lf there is one horee attracting more attention than another at Addington these days, it is Native Chies, whose race against Great Bingen on February 11 promises to provide the thrill of the year. In a burst over a mile recently Native Chief went 2m 10s and was plainly not extended over tbe latter part of the journey. He went his first half in lm Pali speed that would keep the best in the world doing their utm, ost. Great Bingen is pleasing his connections, who anticipate that if the race is run as » proper test then Native Chief will n<ed to go very close to the two-minute mark il' he is to be on hand at the finish."
