MURIWAI MOTOR SPORTS.

Sir,—ln view of the Muriwai motor sports meeting shortly, I would like to draw the attention of motorists to the danger of smoking and lighting primus stoves, etc. Should a fire occur in the parking area there would be no possible hope of getting the cars out, and apart from the financial loss, there is always a big danger of loss of life. I think the committee will be well advised to set) Eli at notice boards ate placed in prominent positions to caution motorists of this grssat danger. Last year I attended the sports and had an accident with a primus stove, and only by having a rug handv did I suppress the flames. J.R.K.
