YOUNG WOMAN ATTACKED, A CONSTABLE WOUNDED. While pursuing a man who had attacked Miss Jean Evans, aged 27 years, of Sorrento, and demanded her money at the point of a revolver in the Domain, South Yarra, Melbourne, on a recent night, Senior-Constable A. H. McKenzie was shot. in the stomach. His assailant escaped and has not since been traced.
