Skeet in Maste:rton. Mrs. Selwyn Upton, with her family, is spending the holidays at Mercury Bay. Mrs. F. G. Towers, of Auckland, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs..T. W. Cuthbertson, Castlecliff, Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hardley, of Auckland, who have been on a visit to Christchurch, are now in Ashburton. Mrs. L. Speedy and family, of Takapuna, are staying at Kokaka, Port Albert, for the remainder of the holidays. Miss Molly Barker, of Suva, who has been on an extended holiday in Auckland, will return by the Niagara on Tuesday,- • . ; - Dr. and Mrs. N. H. Riddiford and Miss Riddiford, who have been staying at the Grand Hotel, returned to Wellington last evening. Miss Desmond, who has been staying with Mrs. J. W. Craig for the past fortnight, in Stratford, has returned to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Max Friedlander, of Auckland, are at present in Dunedin, and are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Halsted. Mrs. A. Slater, of Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. H. S. Tilley in Wanganui, has left for Christchurch and Dunedin. Miss Moore and Miss Goodwin have returned to Auckland from Stratford, where they have been the guests of Mrs. W. A. Spragg. Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Nolan and Miss' Dorothy Nolan, who are sailing for England in February, will take up their residence at the Hotel Cargen to-morrow. Among the visitors staying at Mon Desir, Takapuna, are Mr. and! Mrs. C= Herjnan, Mr. and Mrs. H, Honrocks, Mr. and Mrs. J. Hellaby, and Mis. Donald Gome. Auckland visitors to Queenstown include Mrs. French and Miss French, the Misses 0. and 0. Lloyd, Miss Anderson, Miss Myrtle Burns, Miss Tomlinson, Mr. R. A. Brown. Visitors staying at the Griand Hotel include Mrs. J. A. Carpenter, Miss Kan« and Miss Magill, of Wellington, Mrs. Burgess and Miss Burgess, of Wanganui, Mrs, Sutherland Ross, of Dunedin, ancl Miss M. Inkster, of England. The monthly meeting of the Waingaro Women's Institute was held on Wednesday, 11th, in the Waingaro Hall., Mrs. Picken presided. Miss Hull, who is a visitor in the district, gave a very interesting 'talk on Jane Austen. A competition was arranged by Mrs. Coleman, and a demonstration of sealing wax work by Miss Seavill, made up a very enjoyable afternoon. * v
