PRICE OF COAL.
SCHEME FOR REGULATION. PROPOSAL IN SOUTH WALES. (Britifih Official Wireless.) A. and N.Z. RUGBY, Dec, 31. Much interest is being displayed in a scheme which will be considered at Cardiff by the South Wales colliery owners, for the regulation of coal selling prices. The scheme propose:? that a contribution of 3d per ton on their output of coal b® made by tho colliery companies, and that the sum raised shall form a fund from which to compensate the companies whose collieries lose shifts through want of trade, owing to itheir not accepting prices below tnos9 to be fixed as the minimum prices.
