GERMANY'S LARGE QUOTA. FOUR THOUSAND DEPORTATIONS. A. and N.Z. NEW YOBK. Dec. 31. The Immigration Commissioner reports that during the year 600 stow.iways, were caught on ships entering Nevr York and wore deported. A total of 164,667 aliens entered the United States under the quota system during the year, and of them 120,000 passed through Ellis Island. Germany sent 51,000, this being her quota of immigrants, .Britain and Northern Ireland 34,0C7, and the Irish Free State 28,567. Of 4000 aliens deported the reason in 40 per cent, of the case 3 was deficient mentality.
