REBELS MEET 'AMERICANS. FIVE MARINES KILLED. HEAVY LOSSES INFLICTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, (Received January 2, 8.8 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. NEW YORK, Jan. 1. A message from Managua, Nicaragua, says five United States marines were killed ,and 23 wounded in an engagement with rebels in the outskirts of Quilali. The rebel casualties were heavy, but their number is not known.
