THE HAMILTON FIGURES. LOW READINGS IN DECEMBER.. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Monday. A total of 1.45 in. of rain fell in Hamilton during Dcc;?mb»>r. Rain fell on ten days, the maximum fall being recorded on December 7, when ,60in. was recorded. The rainfall for the last 12 months in Hamilton was 52.78 in, OVER 31 INCHES AT NAPIER. TOTAL BELOW THE AVERAGE. , ♦ [EX TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. 0 NAPIER* Monday. Rainfall in Napier during 1927 totalled 31.33 in., compared with 20.89 in. in 1926, the latter having been the lowest recorded for 50 years, and 25.51 in. in 1925. The average over the last 11 years is 32.50 m. Last year's more plentiful rainfall is reflected in a much more prosperous sea,son boing enjoyed by the farming community, who suffered rather severely in the two dry years preceding that just closed.
