WHAT GAME SHALL WE PLAY?
A great deal ot fun can be secured with the shell of an egg from which, the contents have been removed by blowing through a hole at each end. On a large table, preferably with a polished top, set a pair of candlesticks near the middle of each side. Between them in the middle of the table is placed the egg shell The players in equal numbers arrange themselves on both s'des of the table. The ob - ject of the game is to blow the egg shell oatween the opponents' candlesticks, which act as goal posts. The egg is easily blown about ou the smooth table and the efforts tc score and prevent the scoring of goals give plenty of good fun. At no time must the egg shell be touched with the hands. Shadow drawing provides an amusing contest. Here a piece of paper is crumpled up to about the size of a small apple and then placed on a piece of paper in such a way that the light strikes it at an angle and so produces a shadow with a sharp outline. The paper may be moved about until the outline suggesting a quaint face is secured. Then the shadow is used to form the portrait, and often some very amusing results are obtained. A Sketching Party. Another drawing game which provides much amusement is known as the sketch party. A number of rather large sheets of paper are put together in the form of a pad and these are fixed with pins to a board. The artists are seated in a semicircle facing the board and each one is privately handed a slip of paper with the name of some animal written on it. One of the party is allowed just thirty seconds to sketch on the paper the particular animal allotted to him. The picture is numbered; the artist's name is added and is then torn off. Thu next artist takes a turn, meanwhile the others examine the finished sketch and write on a slip of paper the animal which they take it to represent. When all have taken a turn the correct names of the pictures are read out and the player who has the largest number cf correct guesses wins the game. _____
