JAPANESE INTERESTS.
CRUISER FOR TSINGTAO. ASSURANCE OF SAFETY. (Received December 22, 5.5 p.m.) -' A. and N.Z. TOKIO. Dec. 21. The Japanese cruiser Nagara is leaving for Tsingtao with a landing party of bluejackets on board. The authorities! assert that the step is merely to double the assurance of safety of Japan's interests and many subjects .in Shangtung, in view of China's entire inability to afford protection to either her own property or to foreign lives.
