CYANIDE PRODUCTION.

It is estimated that the 1926 production of calcium of cyanide throughout the world amounted to 953,200 tons, compared with 824,000 tons in the previous year and 190,890 tons in the last proWar year, 1913. Of the 1926 output Germany furnished no less than 420,000 tons, followed by Poland with 130,000 tons Canada 90,000, Japan 85,000 tons. Italy 60,000 tons and France 55,000 tons. Other countries producing this fertiliser, in descending order of output, were Jugoslavia, Sweden, Norway, Rumania, Switzerland and Czecho-slovakia.
