WEDDINGS.
The marriage was celebrated m St. Matthew's Ghurch last evening _of Miss Irene Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Thomas, of Remuera, to Mr. Ernest Sandford, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Sanriford, of Bayswater. Canon Grant Oowen performed the ceremony. , bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine with a deep hem of cream silk lace. Ihe frock was made in tunic style, with an edging of cream lace forming the hem of the tunic. Her veil of tulle was handsomely embroidered, and the silver capetto was finished with a coronet of orange blossom She carried a beautiful wreath ot white Christmas lilies and palest pink roses and carnations The bridesmaid, I Miss Gwendoline Thomas, wore a frock of ciel blue crepe de chine, with a pointed neck embroidered in pastel-snadea si IK. Her crinoline straw hat of dove giey was trimmed with blue ribbon and a bow under the brim, and she carried a bouquet of crimson and mauve sweet peas. Jhe duties of best man were carried out by the bridegroom's brother, Mr. Leonard Sandford. The marriage of Miss Kathleen Cecilia Meads, of Auckland, to Mr. James McHardy, of H.M.S. Laburnum, was celebrated in St. Matthew's Church _ last evening. Canon Grant Cowen officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr, Kimber, wore a simple frock of white crepe do chine with a front panel of silver lace. Her embroidered tulle veil formed a train and was finished with a high coronet of orange blossom: She carried a shower bouquet 0/ white Christmas lilies and sweet peas and pale pink carnations. Miss Myrtle " Kimber acted as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of apricot georgette with a petalled skirt. He_r high tulle head-dress was trimmed with small rosebuds and a tulle scurf was also worn. Her bouquet was of pale pink carnations and sweet peas. Little Norma McKenzie made a dainty flower girl, weaving a frock of shell pink crepe dechine trimmed with cold niched ribbon. Her head-dress of tulle to tone was finished with small flowers and she carried a posy of pink sweet peas and carnations. Petty Officer Worth acted as best man, and 'Petty Officer Pile and Petty Officer Kattlewold were groomsmen.
