of salmon which are numerous on the coast have lately been attracting sharks along the eastern beaches near Sydney. At Bor.di a few days ago two fishermen landed two of the grey nurse variety, each about Bft. long. When opened they were found to contain a num. ber of whole salmon.

The previous night tho same fishermen had captured two grey nurse sharks, one being 10ft. long and the other 7ft. Bin. All the sharks were caught on rods, and were landed after hajf-an-hour's fight. The sharks were hooked in shoal water, and the fishermen emphasised the danger night bathers run as the shares, invariably work in close at dusk.

Tho fishermen were watched by a crowd of 500 people, who were greatly excited while the fish were being played; Eleven big sharks were landed at Bpndi within 14 days last month.
