The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indica tions are toi stiong south easterly winds, to gale at places north oi West port arid Kaikoura, backing to easterly and north easterly later, elsewhere moderate eastet lies to freshening north winds, weathei changeable and unsettled, with general ram and heavy tails m parts. Pressure is now high in the South Island, while shallow cyclones are located oast and west ol the North Island, and an extensive cyclone is situated north-east of Norfolk island. RAINFALL RECORD.
